A Palestinian State? - Essay by Ron Paul

A Palestinian State?
by Ron Paul for week of September 27, 2011

The Palestinian Authority's recent announcement that it would seek UN recognition as an independent state dominated the news and the political debate in the United States last week, though in truth it should mean very little to us. Only a political class harboring the illusion it can run the world obsesses over the aspirations of a tiny population on a tiny piece of land thousands of miles away. Remember, the UN initiated this persistent conflict with its 1947 Partition Plan.

Unfortunately the debate is dominated by those who either support the Israeli side in the conflict, or those who support the Palestinian desire for statehood. We rarely seem to hear the view of those who support the US side and US interests. I am on that side. I believe that we can no longer police the world. We can no longer bribe the Israelis and Palestinians to continue an endless "peace process" that goes nowhere. It is not in our interest to hector the Palestinians or the Israelis, or to "export" democracy to the region but reject it when people vote the "wrong" way.

I have reservations about the Palestinian drive for UN recognition. Personally I wish the United States would de-recognize the United Nations. As most readers already know, in every Congress I introduce legislation to end our membership in that organization. The UN is a threat to our sovereignty-- and as we are the main source of its income, it is a threat to our economic well-being. Increasingly over the past several years, we see the United Nations providing political and legal cover for the military aspirations of interventionists rather than serving as an international forum to preserve peace. Neoconservatives in the US have grown to love the United Nations as they co-opt the organization under the guise of endless "reform." Under the sovereignty-destroying doctrine of "Responsibility to Protect," adopted at the 2005 World Summit, the UN takes it upon itself to intervene in internal conflicts of its member states whenever it believes that human rights are being violated. Thus under "Responsibility to Protect," the UN provides the green light for a kind of global no-knock raid on any sovereign country.

If asked, I would personally counsel the Palestinians to avoid the United Nations. UN membership and participation is no guarantee that sovereignty will be respected. We see what happens to UN members such as Iraq and Libya when those countries' leaders fall out of favor with US administrations: under US and allied pressure a fig leaf resolution is adopted in the UN to facilitate devastating military intervention. When the UN gave NATO the green light to bomb Libya there was no genocide taking place. It was a purely preventative war. The result? Thousands dead, a destroyed country, and extremely dubious new leaders.

While I do not see UN membership as a particularly productive move for the Palestinian leadership, I do not believe the US should use its position in the UN Security Council to block their membership. I believe in self-determination of peoples and I recognize that peoples may wish to pursue statehood by different means. As we saw after the Cold War, numerous new states were born out of the ruins of the USSR as the various old Soviet Republics decided that smaller states were preferable to an enormous and oppressive multi-national conglomerate.

The real, pro-US solution to the problems in the Middle East is for us to end all foreign aid, stop arming foreign countries, encourage peaceful diplomatic resolutions to conflicts, and disengage militarily. In others words, follow Jefferson's admonition: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none."

Stimulus and the Depression: The Untold Story

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Kudos to the authors, Harold L. Cole and Lee E. Ohanian of a Wall Street Journal opinion piece entitled Stimulus and the Depression: The Untold Story. Without naming him, the authors both seemed to echo and support many of the views of Ron Paul about the depression era turnarounds and the actual effects of supposed "stimulus" by government as compared to modern day lessons. Not sure is Austrian Economists like Ron Paul or Peter Schiff would concur 100% with Cole and Ohanian, but i'd sure like to know their thoughts. The read is worthwhile.

Harold Cole is a professor of economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Ohanian is professor of Economics at UCLA and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. They are authors of "New Deal Policies and the Persistence of the Great Depression: A General Equilibrium Analysis", which was released in 2004 in Journal of Political Economy.

Government as a Venture Capitalist - by Ron Paul
For week of September 19, 2011

In January 2009, the administration claimed that if Congress passed a rush stimulus bill, the United States would be saved from economic catastrophe that was threatening to send unemployment figures above 8 percent. Government stimulus was the answer and if we cared about our country, we would set aside our reservations and do what needed to be done to pass the bill. Congress passed the bill. Unemployment continued to go up and has been well over 8 percent ever since. (In fact, economist John Williams of ShadowStats finds unemployment to be closer to 23 percent using traditional methodology.) Yet some are claiming the first stimulus worked and all we need to bring back prosperity is more government stimulus.

Stimulus might appear to work for some people for a short time. It worked for a short time for Solyndra. For a time, they could pretend to be engaging in productive activities that would help the economy. For a time, unemployment was 1,100 people less. But the recent bankruptcy of Solyndra shows that the government is a terrible venture capitalist. This charade cost the American people over half a billion dollars they could not afford, yet there is no mea culpa. The administration is not questioning its calculations, or how they could have been so wrong on their unemployment predictions in the wake of the last stimulus.

Instead, they want more money. Once again we are hearing the cry that if we care about our country, we will approve more spending and more taxes and that will create more jobs. They promise.

Yes, you could have gone to the Solyndra factory and you would have seen jobs. What you could not have seen were the productive jobs that were never created. Real venture capitalists make decisions based not on politics and photo opportunities, but on complex economic estimations of risk and reward. They don't simply throw piles of other people's money at a factory and expect magic to happen. The uncreated jobs you can't see might still be around. Instead, we have more government debt which will lead to more inflation and more taxes. These, in addition to an already hostile regulatory environment, only add to the burden and risk of job creation in the private economy.

It has been said that when all you have is a hammer, everything is a nail. Our government is full of people who sincerely believe big government and more spending is the answer to every problem. They automatically look to government for every solution. Government is their hammer, and all they know to do is to keep hammering. When government "solutions" still don't solve the problems, they are unfazed. They keep calling for more government, more laws, and more programs. Americans are tired of being treated like nails.

This government-centric mindset is the root of the problem. People who think this way are naturally drawn to politics and government. To them, the Constitution is an annoying road block, something to get around, or ignore.

We must become interested in real, lasting, productive jobs - careers that allow families to build up a solid foundation of prosperity and economic security - not pretend make-work government jobs that waste resources and vanish overnight. We have to choose one or the other.

Ron Paul on The Military and Veterans

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Just below is Ron Paul's latest TV advertisement featuring Vietnam veterans talking about how Ron Paul remembered. What I wish the advertisement would have mentioned, is what I have heard from other veterans. Those who have served in actual combat appreciate Ron Paul for his staunch voting record that has voted against sending soldiers into harms way under false pretense. Most soldiers know Iraq war was based on lies and what the U.S. military has done is Afghanistan was mainly for corporatist reasons. They know that Ron Paul is the only one of the candidates who actually voted against ALL votes to go into both wars as well as voting against all funding to continue these wars. Besides that, it would be nice if all in America knew that Ron Paul is the only one running for President in 2011 who actually served in the Military. He then served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the United States Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968. Ron Paul has received twice as many campaign contributions from actual soldiers and military personal (NOT WEAPONS MAKERS) than all other GOP presidential candidates combined, donation receipt records reveal, for the second quarter of 2011. What that means is that those who actually serve and must risk their lives, know that Ron Paul is not hood winking them.

Congratulations Ron Paul, but it's time to replace the Money Bomb

Opinion by Greg Chamberlain

Congratulations to Ron Paul for the one day fundraising success, once again, in raising over one million dollars from grassroots supporters on Sunday September 18, 2011.

While this is definitely a good thing, it is not as newsworthy as it once was. What is news is how Obama plans to raise nearly $1 Billion dollars in this election cycle, much of that coming from corporatists and crony capitalists hoping for more corporate welfare.

I hate to sound negative and hope this argument has something positive in it. The "Money Bomb" idea was a brilliant idea, when it was new. Activist Trevor Lyman concocted the idea to hold a Money Bomb, and the grassroots lit up. It was a great idea with impeccable timing. A world record or two were hit as far as the highest ever amounts of money raised online in one day by a politician running for office. When Ron Paul supporters held additional money bombs, they beat the last record they had set. I am not sure if the world record holder has changed recently or not, but my argument is that the "Money Bomb" has been unfairly hijacked by other politicians who have used the term since the early days. I propose the grassroots goes and drops the term in favor of something new and fresh that helps Ron Paul break much bigger records. The campaign should stay arms length away, like it did in 2008, and watch the grassroots do their thing. Freedom is the most powerful when it comes to the grassroots, because Ron Paul's supporters are resourceful on the smallest local micro levels. The MeetUp group system should be ramped up again. It does not seem as strong as it once was, but the infrastructure is still there.

What has happened since those "good old days" is that the "Tea Party", which modern day was an origination of the Ron Paul grassroots campaign, has since been hijacked by the Neoconservatives. The Tea Party Express that co-hosted the last CNN Presidential debate is not a Ron Paul loving organization. It's far from it. It's a Neocon Tool. And the Money Bomb idea has been hijacked too and not only by the NeoTea movement. Several other political candidates have used the term in their fundraising efforts. It's been diluted. It's time for fresh names for events that differentiates Liberty vs. Tyranny. Such an effort can take center stage while pushing grassroots politics up a few notches. It is very possible that we are just that amount of notches away away from toppling the cripplers who are in power and who have hijacked this great country of ours. Some of those cripplers are posing as the Tea Party and some of those cripplers are using Money Bombs in their campaign language.

The real problem is that the media is driving the arguments. So called experts are posing as Tea Party people and they don't represent Ron Paul's views across the board. They are cherry picking and then willing to attempt to make a mockery of Ron Paul on other issues while they spin his message the wrong way.

But, back to the Money Bomb. In terms of fundraising from the grassroots and replacing the money bomb with something more powerful, I propose thinking outside the box again. Hope brilliant people like Mr. Lyman are listening and thinking. Perhaps, instead of a day, how about am event that lasts a full month or even just a week. And, how about something that doesn't have a negative word in the title such as "bomb". How about the words "love" or "peace"?

How about something like "Love Ron Paul Month" or the "Ron Paul Peace Drive". I am not great with slogans, but "bomb" always sounded a little bit war oriented to me and perhaps it's time to get away from it, especially since Ron Paul is the true peace candidate for President. Think of a fundraising word that people feel like they are helping buy peace when they send in their money to Ron Paul. That's real!

One potential idea is for supporters to hand out Ron Paul fliers with attached pre addressed envelopes where checks could be sent in from ordinary americans to Ron Paul Presidential Campaign, even just $1.00. If it lasted for a whole month, It becomes a daily ritual for supporters to hand these envelopes out on the street and send them to friends and strangers with notes attached on why Ron Paul rocks.

I am not saying this is the answer, but sharing my thoughts and brainstorming. Set your minds free and share, my friends. Ideas float through the air and big things can happen.

Offline is where the campaign needs to raise $20 or $30 millions in a short period such as a month. We are living in a world where politicians like Mitt Romney are bringing in $10 Million in one day. http://www.businessinsider.com/mitt-romney-raises-more-than-10-million-in-one-day-2011-5 -

We, in the grassroots can beat guys like Romney at fundraising. It's happened before and it will happen again. That's my opinion. What's yours? send mail to: LibertyMatters (at) ThePresident.Com (e-mail with unsolicited attachments will be deleted)

Confessions of a Pharma Rep.

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Please, listen to this woman who once worked as a sales representative for a big pharmaceutical company, as she says it like it is.

I hope everyone interested in the health care debate watches this video posted above. The core of the health care debate, in my opinion, rests in the fact that being forced to buy insurance that will only pay for supposed health care that is dominated by big pharma is not the kind of health care I would ever want. I don't take pharmaceutical drugs and resent being forced to buy insurance to be covered for crap I don't want in my body. The fact that so many Americans, pathetically obese and unhealthy Americans, are so concerned because they want insurance to pay for their overpriced drugs is sad. Our system is broken when so many are dependent on pills. A vast majority of people have no clue how to pick the foods they eat and take care of themselves to prevent disease. Why should I be forced to buy insurance to support a system that supports that status quo I just mentioned?

Big Pharma — Define 'Better'

I have become very ill in my own life, from my own personal abuse. Drinking too much, eating the wrongs foods and not exercising. But to get my act together, I preferred to spend my hard earned money on taking care of my health, rather than over insuring it in a way that supports big pharma. Don't get me wrong. Insurance can be a great thing. I want something that will cover major catastrophe, but I do not want to be a cash cow for big pharma. And,if someone barely has enough money would it be better to buy insurance and cut back on good food or would it be better to buy good food and cut back on insurance? I think money must first be well spent on eating right and taking care of oneself. And our government is making it harder to get the best foods. They are catering to giant agribusiness and big pharma and promoting crony capitalism.

Government sides with horrible agricultural conglomerates such Monsanto to literally destroy our food supply and supply chain through granting monopolistic tools. Much of our food supply has become Genetically modified and such seeds are infecting non Genetically modified crops. But the government has altered the pollution laws to make Monsanto immune from being liable for such abuse and in fact, benefit from being a polluter. When Genetically modified monsanto seeds/crops pollenate crops miles away from a monsanto seed crop, Monsanto can come along and claim their seed patents are being illegally used by the farmer who actually was the victim of pollution by Monsanto. Government has shown it's evil side in this regards and it's well documented, as Monsanto lobbyists have quite literally written major legislation for itself, that Congress pushes through because Monsanto knows who to pay off politicians who need campaign cash.

I spend a lot of money on fresh organic juice, organic non-gmo foods and when I feel infection coming on like a cold or lung infection such as bronchitis, I always lean towards alternative therapies such as Ozone Therapy instead of anti-biotics or pills. However, in this country the FDA will not allow medical doctors in the U.S. to even administer medical Ozone, even though it is a routine treatment for a wide variety of ailments including HIV, Lyme Disease, Hepatitis and numerous bacterial and viral infections. Medical grade Ozone is widely administered by medical doctors in very advanced medical societies such as Germany, with millions and millions of people having been served by it with no side effects and excellent results.

I personally don't believe in big pharma and I don't believe in big government telling me that I must insure myself to support my eventual big pharma bill that big government supports. What I mean by that is, politicians allow big pharma lobbyists to write laws that Congress passes on a routine basis. That's a whole new discussion topic.

Ron Paul does not necessarily endorse my point of view on any of these topics, for these are my thoughts and not his. However, I most certainly endorse his voting record on voting against crony capitalism, voting against lobbyist written bills in Congress and voting in favor of food freedom laws in favor of the consumer, not in favor of big agricultural lobbyists. I endorse Ron Paul for President, Congress or whatever public service jobs he chooses to run for. Ron Paul is the truest kind of citizen politician that we Americans have. He is the most anti-war, most anti-crony capitalist candidate we have running for President at this time.

Business Man/Money Guru, Peter Schiff, Schools Congress on The Economy/Jobs

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Peter Schiff called the financial crisis the U.S. is presently in, years before it happened, when everyone else was laughing at his analysis. If you don't know about Peter yet, see this video of him in 2006: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I0QN-FYkpw

In my humble opinion, Schiff is one of the smartest businessmen and monetary policy analysts on the scene. In these excellent videos of his appearance before a congressional jobs panel this week, Peter Schiff went through all of the actions Congress, The Federal Reserve and the federal government have imposed to artificially stimulate the economy and why it has failed.

He stated that we have an economy that is based on spending borrowed money. Economies have to be based on savings, investing and production, not consumption based borrowing We are running our economy upside down by borrowing to consume. Peter Schiff makes another great case for what steps need to be taken to get the government out of the way. I wholeheartedly have been agreeing with his analysis for years and hope those who begin to follow him will take heed.

Fact Check on Ron Paul: The U.S. military "is in 130 countries. We have 900 bases around the world."

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

During the September 12, 2001 GOP Presidential Deabte, Ron Paul made the following statement and claims: "We're under great threat, because we occupy so many countries," Paul said. "We're in 130 countries. We have 900 bases around the world. We're going broke. The purpose of al-Qaida was to attack us, invite us over there, where they can target us. And they have been doing it. They have more attacks against us and the American interests per month than occurred in all the years before 9/11, but we're there occupying their land. And if we think that we can do that and not have retaliation, we're kidding ourselves. We have to be honest with ourselves. What would we do if another country, say, China, did to us what we do to all those countries over there?"

The website known as Politifact.Com and The Truth-O-Meter analyzed the statement and wrote a report on Ron Paul's claims.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/sep/14/ron-paul/ron-paul-says-us-has-military-personnel-130-nation

If only the average American would listen to Ron Paul's words and be outraged enough to call or write their Congressman and The White House and demand that we stop this overseas spending and the militarism that is bankrupting this nation. Our future as a nation depends upon it.

One of America's Last True Statesman: Ron Paul

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Found a great 10 minute film on Ron Paul.

One of those speaking referred to Ron Paul as America's last true statesman. I would agree that Ron Paul is the last of a handful of true statesman. I consider Dennis Kucinich to fall into that category. It's unfortunate that true statesman are not treated like the best kinds of presidential candidates to America's Jerry Springerized electorate. The lame TV debates are just such a spectacle.

True statesmen like Ron Paul understand and adhere to what is known as decorum. Strict decorum, in fact. He does not butt in and start jabbering, nor has he ever been strong in the area of character assassination, which seems to be requirement when running for President these days.

Debate questions are asked not about what the candidate himself thinks, but what the candidates each think of each other. They might as well give each candidate squirt bottles of ketchup and pies to throw. It's ridiculous.

Another pathetic GOP Debate - I am not sipping that Neocon Tea

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Where does one even start to criticize the CNN/Tea Party debate held September 12, 2011?

It was just one more, in a long series of such debates, where none of the candidates got equal time to speak. That was not a debate. That was favoritism for the media favorites, clearly.

It was also one of the most substance lacking debates EVER. To have called it a Tea Party debate was a sham in line with calling the Patriot Act patriotic.

I knew it was a lame debate when the question was asked of the candidates about their view of a Federal Reserve Audit. The moderator failed to let Ron Paul have the floor. For those who don't know, Ron Paul IS THE ONLY REASON there IS A BILL IN CONGRESS TO AUDIT THE FED. Ron Paul has led the fight against The Fed for decades when everyone else in Congress relied on The Fed as a magic source of counterfeit money.

As I have written in other previous posts, the Tea Party movement, which Ron Paul is the Godfather of, has been hijacked. We are not all sipping from the same tea. There is Liberty Tea and there is Neocon Tea. The in house debate audience was drunk on Neocon Tea.

Rick Santorum criticized Ron Paul for his willingness to say it like it is, on the 10 year 9/11 anniversary putting a post on his website that the U.S. foreign policy brought on 9/11. When Ron Paul replied to Santorum's criticism, and the audience booed and jeered at Ron Paul.

Those who booed must have been the same people who failed to hear Ron Paul in the video clips where in 1997, Ron Paul warned something like 9/11 was coming and why.

At CNN's supposed Tea Party Debate, it was easy to see that this was not the REAL Tea Party in the audience. The audience and the candidates were sipping Neocon Tea of selective ignorance. When they applauded at Rick Santorum's view of why we were attacked on 9/11, I wanted to vomit for his lack of knowledge. Santorum should be eliminated as a serious contender, right now. The audience was downright ignorant and they should read Ron Paul's reading list to Rudy Giuliani from the 2008 Presidential Debate where Ron Paul went through the same issue with Rudy Giuliani. See the reading list here: http://www.amazon.com/Educating-Rudy-Paul-reading-list/lm/RJML1CA9L0NCZ

That was another terrible debate where none of the candidates got equal time to speak. That was not a debate. That was favoritism for the media favorites, clearly.

Foreign Occupation Leads to More Terror by Ron Paul
Monday, September 12, 2011

Ten years ago shocking and horrific acts of terrorism were carried out on US soil, taking over 3,000 innocent American lives. Without a doubt, this action demanded retaliation and retribution. However, much has been done in the name of protecting the American people from terrorism that has reduced our prosperity and liberty and even made us less safe. This is ironic and sad, considering that the oft-repeated line concerning the reasoning behind the attacks is that they hate us for who we are - a free, prosperous people - and that we must not under any circumstances allow the terrorists to win.

Though it is hard for many to believe, honest studies show that the real motivation behind the September 11 attacks and the vast majority of other instances of suicide terrorism is not that our enemies are bothered by our way of life. Neither is it our religion, or our wealth. Rather, it is primarily occupation. If you were to imagine for a moment how you would feel if another country forcibly occupied the United States, had military bases and armed soldiers present in our hometowns, you might begin to understand why foreign occupation upsets people so much. Robert Pape has extensively researched this issue and goes in depth in his book "Cutting the Fuse: The Explosion of Global Suicide Terrorism and How to Stop It". In fact, of 2,200 incidents of suicide attacks he has studied worldwide since 1980, 95% were in response to foreign occupation.

Pape notes that before our invasion of Iraq, only about 10% of suicide terrorism was aimed at Americans or American interests. Since, then however, not only is suicide terrorism greatly on the rise, but 91% of it is now directed at us.

Yes, the attacks of 9/11 deserved a response. But the manner in which we responded has allowed radicals in the Muslim world to advance a very threatening narrative about us and our motivation in occupying their lands. Osama bin Laden referred to us as "crusaders" with a religious agenda to convert Muslims, westernize their culture and take control of their resources. If we had targeted our response to only the thugs and criminals who attacked us, and refrained from invading countries that had nothing to do with it, this characterization would seem less plausible to the desperate and displaced. Blaming Islam alone is grossly misleading.

Instead, we chose a course of action that led to the further loss of 8,000 American lives, left 40,000 wounded and has hundreds of thousands seeking help at the Veterans Administration. We are three to four trillion dollars poorer. Our military is spread dangerously thin around the globe, at the expense of protection here at home. Not only that, but we have allowed our freedoms to be greatly threatened and undermined from within. The Patriot Act, warrantless searches and wiretapping, abuse of habeus corpus, useless and humiliating searches at airports are just a few examples of how we've allowed the terrorists to "win" by making our country less free.

Suicide terrorism did not exist in Iraq before we got there. Now it does. There are no known instances of Iranians committing suicide terrorism. If we invade and occupy Iran, expect that to change, too.

Sometimes it can be very uncomfortable to ask the right questions and face the truth. When a slick politician comes along and gives a much more soothing, self-congratulating version of events, it is very tempting to simply believe what we would like to hear. But listening to lies does not make us safer, even though it might make us feel better about ourselves.

The truth is that ending these misguided wars and
occupations will make us safer, more prosperous and more free.

Democracy Now! has lead revolution for truth in media for decades

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

I have written about this so many times before. Democracy Now! (DN) has been leading the revolution for truth in media for decades. It is daily, Monday through Friday, TV/radio news program. It is hosted by two in the trenches veteran journalists, Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez. Democracy Now is broadcast on over 900 stations that make their success in TV and Radio distribution because it happens to be the largest community media collaboration in the United States.

The show leans to the left and progressive side of the political spectrum, but their truth has no boundaries. They rip to the truth and fry politicians who lie from any and all political persuasions. I am proud to call myself a supporter of Democracy Now!

I believe that those who support Ron Paul and his anti-war, anti-torture, anti-corporatist, anti-crony capitalist positions have a lot in common with the average listener of DN. While DN may report other issues in a frame that most conservatives would frown upon, such as immigration reform, abortion and tazation, Democracy Now! is the anti-war anti-crony capitalist station in my humble opinion, that true conservatives should embrace. I know I do. I hope to someday see Ron Paul as a guest on the program, perhaps alongside Dennis Kucinich who has been a regular guest for years on Democracy Now!

The show today was important, as they all are. But this one had a sister of 9/11 victim and a Afghan Who Lost 17 Family members from a U.S. carpet bombing that happened shortly after 9/11. And, if one does not walk away realizing that victims of terrorism and victim of U.S. led war are all the same, one is out of touch with reality.

The program also had a segment on how Ten Years After 9/11, the little-known Sikh community still is a target of violence and harassment.

And, I particularly like hearing the fiery speech at the end of the show by a man who almost sounded like Martin Luther King. Enjoy!

The Peace Choice in 2012 is Clear

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

In the 2008 Presidential election, liberals and even many conservatives who were against war were brainwashed into believing that Barack Obama was the peace candidate who would bring the troops home. As someone who supported Barack Obama when he ran for his U.S. Senate seat, I did not buy into the hype. You see, I fell for his anti-war rhetoric too, when he appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show, while he was still only a State Senator in Chigago. I had hope that he would be a voice of reason once he was elected to the U.S. Senate, but only found myself to be disappointed when he voted at least three times as that U.S. Senator, to continue war spending by voting for war spending appropriations that did nothing except keep our troops in harms way for nefarious reasons and outright lies.

The mainstream media went out of their way to silence a true anti war voice. Ron Paul was eliminated in the minds of the media pundits at every turn in the 2008 election, and it is obvious that they are at it again. But if you want peace in 2012, the real choice is clear. Ron Paul has voted against every single war this country is presently engaged in, along with the spending bills that support the wars once we are in. His voting record matches his talking record like no other candidate presently in the race.

This video was edited by a supporter of Ron Paul. In my humble opinion, the Ron Paul campaign should fire whoever made the last TV advertisement and hire whoever made this one, because it is spot on target.

Remember 9/11 by connecting the dots and admit the truth: We are less safe now than on 9/11

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Please read the following article and spread it around. In my opinion, Robert Pape wrote the ARTICLE OF THE 9/11 DECADE that sums up the fact that we are less safe than we were on or before 9/11. It's the Occupation, Stupid: Extensive research into the causes of suicide terrorism proves Islam isn't to blame -- the root of the problem is foreign military occupations. http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2010/10/18/it_s_the_occupation_stupid

In 1998, just like the way he predicted the financial bubbles and the economic mess we are in, Ron Paul predicted we were setting our country up as a target for the terror we dropped on others abroad.

Connecting the dots..... there is a reason we were attacked on 9/11 and why have become less safe and secure today, even less secure than on 9/11.

As Ron Paul said "The CIA is correct when they teach and talk about blowback..." "If we think that we can do what we want around the world and not incite hatred, then we have a problem" "What would we think if other foreign countries did that to us?".

The clip below from the GOP debate in South Carolina back in the 2008 Presidential Election and it is easy to see that the media and Neoconservatives like Rudy" Giulianii do not want American's to hear the narrative of Ron Paul's view and the truth of BLOWBACK that even the CIA warns about.

Did you hear the moderator at the end, where he tiptoed out of talking about the issue any further and went into a completely lame question from the Internet: "If South Carolina should be free to fly the Confederate Flag?". Is that totally ridiculous, or what? The candidates were talking about one of the biggest problems we have in this country and the moderator leaves the topic to talk about the Confederate flag? WTF! This was a deliberate dumbing down session for America.

Palestinian State Opposed By U.S. Politicians and White House.

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

This is one of those issues that proves politicians are corrupt and on the take. Common sense is thrown out the window for campaign money from narrow special interests who also get a disproportionate amount of U.S. foreign aid that could be better spent elsewhere, like here at home.

In my humble opinion, The United States is wrongly interfering with an attempt of Palestinians to achieve statehood through the United Nations, in the much the same way Israel became recognized as a state. Thank you to The Young Turks TV host, Cenk Uygur, for saying it the way he views the situation.  I concur!

Ron Paul has always promoted the idea of non-interventionism in this conflict and I concur with Ron Paul 100%. Meddling by the U.S. at the U.N., giving blind support to Israel at the expense of Palestinians does not do Israel any favors. Our left & right wing in the U.S. Congress does the extreme right wing in Israel favors, in a never ending flow, but these favors do nothing toward putting an end toward the Israel/Palestine conflict. Most Israeli's know this, but most American's are falsely in fear of being wrongly labeled Anti Semitic. for even questioning the ties between corrupt U.S. and Israeli politicians.

I do not know if Ron Paul has issued any statements regarding the Palestinian attempt to gain statehood through the U.N. or not.  But, back on July 6, 2011, Congressman Paul issued the following statement in italics below on H.Res. 268, Reaffirming the United States commitment to a negotiated settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through direct Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

Mr. Speaker I rise in opposition to this resolution. While I certainly share the hope for peace in the Middle East and a solution to the ongoing conflict, I do not believe that peace will result if we continue to do the same things while hoping for different results. The US has been involved in this process for decades, spending billions of dollars we do not have, yet we never seem to get much closer to a solution. I believe the best solution is to embrace non-interventionism, which allows those most directly involved to solve their own problems.

This resolution not only further entangles the US in the Israeli/Palestinian dispute, but it sets out the kind of outcome the United States would accept in advance. While I prefer our disengagement from that conflict, I must wonder how the US expects to be seen as an “honest broker” when it dictates the terms of a solution in such a transparently one-sided manner?

In the resolution before us, all demands are made of only one side in the conflict. Do supporters of this resolution really believe the actors in the Middle East and the rest of the world do not notice? We do no favors to the Israelis or to the Palestinians when we involve ourselves in such a manner and block any negotiations that may take place without US participation. They have the incentives to find a way to live in peace and we must allow them to find that solution on their own. As always, congressional attitudes toward the peace process in the Middle East reveal hubris and self-importance. Only those who must live together in the Middle East can craft a lasting peace between Israel and Palestine.

Another unintended consequence of government loan guarantees and crony capitalism

posted by Greg Chamberlain

The following article is just one more reason why we need anti-crony capitalists as President and members of Congress.

This Wall Street Journal Article is just another typical unintended consequence of government malinvestment and crony capitalism. If this panel maker were to have had to compete with others in the sector, only gaining capital from professional venture capitalists and other seasoned investors and business leaders, and not the government, this massive failure would not be costing taxpayers one dime. Fake competition from companies like, propped by by the taxpayer dime, has undermined what should have been a level playing field in the sector.

The Wall Street Journal Reports:
FBI Raids Solar-Panel Maker
Probe of Solyndra Centers on Actions In Obtaining U.S. Loan Guarantees

Solyndra LLC, a California solar-panel maker once hailed by President Barack Obama as "the future" of clean energy, is the target of a criminal investigation into whether its executives knowingly misled the government to secure more than $500 million in loan guarantees, said people familiar with the matter.

Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Thursday raided the company's headquarters in Fremont, Calif., carting away documents and computer equipment as part of the previously undisclosed federal probe.

The raids were conducted at the behest of the Department of Energy's inspector general, and agents from that office took part, officials ...

I propose a new style presidential debate format for TV

by Greg Chamberlain

After watching the NBC/Politico sponsored presidential debates at The Reagan Library, I was deeply disturbed. None of the candidates got an equal amount of time to talk about any of the issues raised. Some of the candidates were left out, entirely, on some of the questioning. It's as if the NBC/Politico was already eliminating candidates, rather than providing a forum.

There needs to be another way of doing these debates and getting away from these lame pundits. Here is a second draft of an idea that started over here in my September 8, 2011 post.

A PROPOSAL FOR A NEW STYLE FORMAT FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL/POLITICAL DEBATES FOR TV

First of all, good debates should last 6 hours and all networks should carry the feed as if it were Lindsay Lohan was being chased down the freeway O.J. Simpson style.

Having the debates last six hours is the way to see which candidates can handle real pressure over a longer hard stretch of time, while keeping their wits about themselves. All presidents need to to so once in office. Why can't we put them to the test on TV? Do we want someone who needs to retreat for a smoke or they will freak? This is very important and will tell a lot more about any candidate than we presently see in these debates.

Each candidate should be given exactly the same amount of time to deliver their answers on every single question in the debate. Doesn't that seem fair? Once they start talking, only one candidate gets the floor and a red light goes off in front of each candidate who is supposed to refrain. Anyone who interrupts by speaking or creates a distraction when another candidates minutes are being depleted will lose 5 x the amount of seconds their interruption lasted that will goes toward the time of the one they interrupted. If they keep on, a bucket of water will be poured on them and if they still keep on, they will fall through the floor and be ejected out of the building.

I propose that a portion of the debate should go like this: When a series of general questions are asked, nobody gets to speak ahead of the others and no candidate is left out of the questioning on that issue. Soundproof glass tubes will lower down over each of the candidates, simultaneously, and once the tubes are down, each candidate speaks their answers into a live webcam that is broadcast live over the Internet. Each candidate is cut off from hearing the other candidates answers. When the time limit is up, the tube comes off the ground. and each of the answers in broadcast to the TV audience in random order. After the broadcasting of the answers, the tubes come down again for each candidate has another opportunity to elaborate their answers further or rebut other candidates answers. Tubes come up and those responses get broadcast. And, then in one more round, candidates get to break into face to face arguments on the topic at hand following the time rules laid out paragraph 3.

Whenever the tubes are down over the cahdidates, this portion of the broadcast could be spent pulling live reactions from the blogosphere, going over indisputable facts related to the question, or cutting to a commercial break. Each answer by each of the candidates would be going out live over the internet in real time, and those at home can choose which answer they want to hear first. Over the internet, Those at home, will have the ability to go back later and play back all candidates answers to any particular question, one by one. Having a debate this way would really allow American's to fully cosnider the candidates much more deeply. This would give the public much more to draw from to help them make a decision. The public would be able to ask follow up question of each of the candidates, posted publicly online, that the candidates would have the opportunity to answer after the debate is over, filling in the puzzle that American's need to see. We need more information for the public to use to help them vote in a more informed manner.

This format would be so powerful because it would collect so much more content of candidates elaborating on the issues, that voters could comb through post debate, and use to consider who the best candidate REALLY is.

There needs to be a powerful team of non partisan fact checkers on hand at all debates, as well. If guys like Penn & Teller could be on hand to call Bullshit, it would be so much better. I have a feeling that when the candidates were all spewing percentages of their this and their that, in terms of supposedly improving education, health care and joblessness in their states, it was all a bunch of crap. A team of anti-bullshit investigators need to be checking facts as the debate rolls on and candidates should be held accountable when researchers pull up the real facts. There should be a demerit system put in place to penalize fact twisters.

Bill Maher on Ron Paul: "the other candidates are selling their soul to corporate interests"

Why I hated the NBC/Politico GOP Debate

Written by Greg Chamberlain

As I watched the debate held September 7, 2011 on NBC, I quickly found myself to be disgusted with the style of the format. The questions created petty bickering between the supposed top tier candidates being promoted by the big media outlets.

It's easy to see what is really going on here. Ron Paul, the man who is capable of delivering more substance, when given the time, was given little time, and was even skipped over on several of the key issues.

At times, questions he was asked seemed designed to make a kook out of him. Fortunately, they were unsuccessful.

Even though I was only able to see a few cutaway shots of Ron Paul on rare occasions, I sensed he was perturbed as well.

The lamest point in the debate was during the part where everyone parroted the idea of a executive order to stop Obamacare in it's tracks. But did they question Ron Paul? No! He is the only candidate on the stage who has actual experience running a medical practice. He can bring clarity to the discussion in terms of how Obamacare hurts smaller medical practices and the people they serve. And, he was actually in Congress when Obamacare passed the monster bill in a time frame that made it impossible for most to even read the bill before casting a vote, much the same way the Patriot Act was passed. Ron Paul is one of the few in Congress who DID read the bill and did not rely on his staff to read it to him and tell him what it said. He voted against it.

The whole debate was just another part of the media sham being propagated upon us Americans by our supposed free press that is nothing but a brainwashing mechanism where the pundits are tools of the David Rockefeller types behind the curtains of the CFR and Bilderberg Group. And, they are out to install another puppet who will continue the status quo while pretending to be bringing change. The inflation whores use inflation as their fuel. They rely upon these wars we are in to use the U.S. military as cover for the crony capitalists to steal resources from the U.S. taxpayer and those who we are bombing and occupying. The big media companies are complicit. They do not want someone like Ron Paul. They want another corporatist like Mitt Romney or Herman Cain, who by the way, was a Federal Reserve insider. Google" Herman Cain Federal Reserve. Mitt Romney and his cronies at Bain were like the character Richard Gere potrayed in Pretty Woman. They rolled up companies, only to take them apart and diminish employment. Is it a legitimate business? Sure it is. But is Mitt Romney a big job creator? No. He has a record as a vulture capitalist. Guys like him are simply going to lead us down a path of more crony capitalism.

In my humble opinion, Ron Paul was the only man on that stage who has a real voting record that matches the rhetoric that those on the stage were copying, because they know that in the REAL world of street level/town hall level politics, Ron Paul is the man! Ron Paul is the one and they are not. All the candidates are mimicking what Ron Paul has been talking about during his entire time working for the people.

There needs to be another way of doing these debates and getting away from these lame pundits. I'd almost like Penn & Teller to hold the debate and call it the "Bullshit Debates" and anytime they smell bullshit, they ring a buzzer and get their bullshit deciphers in the back room working to hand out demerits for disinformation.

My proposal for a presidential debate format for TV
Each candidate should be given exactly the same amount of time. Once they start talking, only one candidate get's the floor and a computer will pick who and will put a red light in front of everyone who is supposed to refrain. Anyone who opens there mouth or creates a distraction when another candidates minutes are being depleted will get a sharp pinch from a automated device that will be hooked up to each candidate. If they keep on, a bucket of water will be poured on them and if they still keep on, they will fall through the floor and be ejected out of the building.

This way, everyone gets an exact same amount of time and they cannot just butt in and start talking. Every word that comes out of their mouth is measured and deducts from their allotment of time. That would only be fair, wouldn't it?

Veterans for Ron Paul

Ron Paul has received more contributions from members of the military, not the weapons manufacturers and crony capitalists who profit from war, but in contributions from soldiers,. He has raised more from this group of patriots than all of the other candidates have received, combined.

Terrorism and the Economy: How the War on Terror is Bankrupting the World

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Loretta Napoleoni, author of the insightful book Terrorism and the Economy: How the War on Terror is Bankrupting the World, appeared on 90.7 KPFK-FM (at KPFK.Org) and their show "Letters and Politics" in Los Angeles. This is a very leftist radio station, part of the Pacifica Radio Network out of San Francisco.

Interesting thing about the interview was many of the topics covered exactly what Ron Paul has consistently talked about, such as how the government and The Fed deliberately lowered interest rates and created inflation to fund the "War on Terror" (I mean the War "OF" Terror), and the entire Bush Doctrine. Napoleoni said she thought that the policies should have been the opposite, and that interest rates should have been raised! She made a provocative statement that lower interest rates were announced just prior to the events of 9/11. The conversation is so much deeper than that point, however.

What's important about this? The fact that there is common ground between Ron Paul and the leftists who listen to KPFK and the other stations on the Pacifica Network. We as supporters of Peace, Sound Money and Ron Paul should embrace those on the left who advance the same causes that we Ron Paul supporters are in line with.

More reasons why the U.S. should end membership in the U.N.

by Greg Chamberlain

I listen to media across all spectrums, on the right and the left. I never always agree with either side, especially when the spin is obvious. One channel that rarely spins is Democracy Now! It's one of the most reliable sources of truth and real journalism from the left and a favorite of mine regardless of it's leaning.

The hosts of the show are Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez. These two journalists are the REAL DEAL. Reporters like Rachel Maddow (as much as I enjoy her), Glenn Beck, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw and Geraldo Rivera when he was younger are all guppies compared to this dynamic duo. Consistently, their show exposes truth about inept government and the related corrupt corporatists, in every single show! This is no lightweight show of fluffy propaganda or White House talking point memos.

I highly recommend Ron Paul supporters watch the Sept 6, 2011 Democracy Now! show, featured below, with Amy Goodman about how screwed up the U.N. is. The one hour show today had three parts. The first two parts are most important for supporters of Ron Paul to consider.

Part I: Video of U.N. Peacekeepers’ Sexual Assault of Haitian Prompts Calls to Focus on Post-Quake Rebuilding

Part II: "Fear, Inc." Exposes the So-Called Experts and Donors Behind Islamophobia in the United.

Why should American's be angry about what the U.N. does in Haiti? Because American taxpayers are the biggest source of funds to the U.N. and such agencies, which Ron Paul has always argued against funding. Ron Paul has talked about how the U.N. is used to get us into war and other corporatist follies.

Why should American's be skeptical of the Islamophobia being propagated by pundits like Glenn Beck? Because it's bullshit to advance the perpetual war agenda of the Neocons. Ron Paul has always spoken out against it such as during the hysteria when it was learned that a Mosque was to be built blocks away from the site of 9/11 in Manhattan.

I urge all Ron Paul supporters to visit DemocracyNow.Org and consider letting Amy Goodman know, you'd like Ron Paul to be a regular guest to talk about the illegal wars, flawed U.S. Foreign Policy, and the crony capitalism that has been going along with it that has diminished American liberty. Even though this is a left leaning show, Ron Paul will most certainly appeal to a wide swatch of Democracy Now! listeners who will learn about who Ron Paul REALLY is and might encourage many new people to support his nomination for President. I switched from the Reform Party to the GOP to support for Ron Paul's nomination in 2007. How many others can we bring over to support the best candidate for President?

THE SERAPH TRIO - Lady Liberty

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Found this band from down Texas way today and liked this patriotic song that challenges the governments lies and deceit. As Ron Paul said, "Truth is Treason in an Empire of Lies".

We're From the Government. We're Here to Help.

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

Ron Paul's Weekly Column from Texas Straight Talk for Sept 5, 2011
We're From the Government. We're Here to Help.

In the wake of hurricane Irene, the Federal Emergency Management Agency is expected to come hat in hands asking for more money from Congress. Like the rest of the government, it is broke. It has been suggested that any additional funds allocated to FEMA should come from cuts elsewhere. This seems harsh and lacking in compassion to big government advocates who do not understand economics, but I would go a step further. FEMA should never have been established. It is based on misguided ideas of disaster relief.

This seems shocking to those who have never been subjected to the secondary disaster that is the arrival of FEMA on the scene of a catastrophic event. But explaining FEMA’s ineptness is not the same thing as saying no one should help people affected by disasters. Quite the opposite.

Victims of disasters should get any and all help possible, and there is virtually no limit to the generosity and compassion of good American people after devastation hits. One only need to remember the outpouring after Katrina to know this is true. FEMA, however, did more to get in the way of relief than to actually provide and facilitate it. The examples are numerous. When the call was put out for volunteer firefighters, they volunteered by the thousands. It was FEMA, for reasons of control and bureaucratic ineptitude, who made sure they were not, in fact allowed to actually help. When a group of firefighters arrived from Houston, instead of being put immediately on the job, they were told to sit around and wait. After waiting for two days doing nothing, they were simply sent home. One thousand volunteer firefighters were sent to Atlanta to undergo sexual harassment training while fires actively raged in the city. The ones that remained through this stupidity were sent to escort the president around or to distribute fliers instead of putting out fires. Computer engineer Jack Harrison was told his skills were needed to rebuild technological infrastructure. After being given the runaround for about two weeks, he was misallocated as head of security on the cruise ship FEMA had leased, when he should have been using his skills to help. All manner of help was turned away or mismanaged by FEMA while people suffered and waited. Even the Red Cross had its hands tied by FEMA.

It has only gotten worse since 9/11. Compare the stories of two flotillas - one after 9/11 and one after Katrina. Within an hour of the 9/11 attacks, the largest boatlift in history was organized spontaneously by locals who saw an immediate need and responded immediately. Over 500,000 terrified New Yorkers were taken off the island by ferries, tugboats, pleasure crafts, fishing boats and barges when all other access points had been shut down. A similar flotilla attempt was privately organized after Katrina. 500 boats caravanned to New Orleans to rescue patients from hospitals that were out of supplies and desperate. Unfortunately, FEMA had taken over by then and they were turned away, empty, while the patients languished, still stranded. Tragically, the Vermont Air National Guard helicopters were in Iraq when Irene hit, and they were desperately needed here.

The establishment of FEMA is symptomatic of a blind belief in big government's ability to do anything and everything for anyone and everyone. FEMA is a bureaucratic organization. Bureaucracies, while staffed with well-meaning people, are notoriously slow and wasteful by their very nature. When people are starving, injured and dying they need speed and efficiency, yet FEMA comes along with forms and policies and rubber stamps. This sort of thing is bad enough at the DMV, but in matters of life and death where seconds count, this is just not acceptable.

True compassion would be to get FEMA out of the way.

RON PAUL CAMPAIGN RELEASES STATEMENT ON JOBS REPORT - End wars, spending and reintroduce sound money

The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign released the following statement from National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton in response to the U.S. Department of Labor’s August 2011 Employment Situation Summary:

“The August national unemployment rate of 9.1 percent is another unfortunate chapter in the Obama administration’s almost superhuman mishandling of the economy. Total nonfarm employment was unchanged, withzero jobs created. The number of involuntary part-time workers is up, and the number of those marginally attached to the workforce is up.

“Six million workers, 42.9 percent of total unemployed persons, have been jobless 27 weeks or longer – a frightening proposition considering that mortgage, rent, food and back-to-school bills may go unpaid. The most recent four-week moving average of new unemployment claims, favored for being a less volatile indicator of our jobs picture, is a frowning 410,250 – also cause for dismay.

“Indeed, much more than these data hangs in the balance. Americans are enduring painful long-term joblessness. They’re witnessing their savings disappear due to lost income. They’re seeing their personal debt rise due to lost income. And they gaze despairingly upon their retirement plans as these arrangements are tabled or upended entirely.

“We’ve been told our economic situation would get worse before it gets better, yet circumstances have remained near to their utmost worst for nearly three years.

“We’ve been told that help was on the way, yet taxpayer-derived aid was granted to pet causes and favored political allies. Too often, bailouts were targeted to the President’s corporate and financial sector allies, a policy similar to that of tossing life preservers to those partying on yachts.

“Americans have had enough.

“It’s high time that the President and his Washington establishment allies – those in both parties – ‘man up’ and face the responsibility to enact authentic change.

“First, America must put an end to the unconstitutional, undeclared wars that are nothing more than destructive conflicts having an unclear connection to U.S. national security. And we should stop putting our war-weary armed services men and women in danger by being the world’s police force and dispense with state building while there are pressing needs at home.

“Ron Paul has called for an authentic stimulus that communities across America will find economically and affectionately stimulating: the return to America of 305,000 of their sons, daughters, husbands and wives who are deployed overseas.

“Dr. Paul says time and again that these men and women’s absence from the U.S., their deployments by international organizations such as N.A.T.O. and the United Nations, and their involvement in unconstitutional, undeclared wars puts America at risk.

“America’s heroes should finally return, reunite with their loved ones in the vicinity of U.S. bases – many of which face closure, as foreign bases thrive – and they can spend, save or invest their pay right here in America.

“A return to the U.S. of service men and women and their equipment just months ago would mean that Vermont would have possessed the needed Blackhawk helicopters and personnel to adequately respond to Hurricane Irene’s destruction. Instead, Vermont was required to borrow helicopters from Illinois and New Hampshire.

“In the wake of Hurricane Irene, there’s a national conversation about the constitutionality, efficacy and efficiency of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) happening. Yet, none of Ron Paul’s Republican primary competitors have raised the issue that, since the U.S. reportedly spends more than $500 billion on overseas adventures, just seven days’ worth of U.S global militarism would pay for Hurricane Irene response.

“Second, President Obama and his Washington enablers of both parties must end the appalling practice of overspending and borrowing. American households are becoming poorer as the economic doldrums continue, however Washington enjoys a kind of golden age as it grows and promotes its relevance in every facet of life.

“The Obama administration offers empty promises on a jobs fix despite the economic reality that government does not create jobs, and in lockstep those in government garner little criticism as few in the media hold Washingtonians’ feet to the fire. This selective examination of the facts, too, must end.

“Third, the U.S. must avoid the disastrous boom and bust cycles that promote irresponsible spending, investing, borrowing and lending and this can only be done by returning to a sound money system.

“The Federal Reserve should undergo a complete and thorough audit, and currency competition should be introduced by decriminalizing the use of gold and silver as legal tender. The final aim would be to end the Fed, which rewards the wealthy few while punishing and injuring working class Americans.

“The numbers and anecdotal evidence of a failed jobs picture speak for themselves. They are a glaring argument for abandoning the failed Big Government, discredited Keynesian response to the national crisis all but those in Washington are experiencing.

“We do not need another speech or prime-time lecture for that matter to tell us what we know: Washington has failed and it is time for new leadership.

“Ron Paul has championed the same constitutionally-limited government, noninterventionist foreign policy and sound money arguments for more than 30 years.

“Dr. Paul wisely predicted the economic crisis and foresaw that it would fall hardest on the hardworking and most vulnerable. The issues now match the candidate, which is why his message is resonating with more voters as the primary campaign cycle advances.”

Feds Raid Gibson Guitars - BLOWBACK: Angry Americans

Posted by Greg Chamberlain

On August 28th, I blogged about how Gibson Guitar Company was raided by the feds.

The story has really been building momentum. How government is getting in the way of business is becoming a important issue during this presidential campaign season, thanks to important stories like this.

Russia Today (RT NEWS) interviewed Gibson Guitar CEO Henry Juszkiewicz

Alex Jones has been covering the story for several days. Here is the latest piece from Sept 1, 2011.

KMJ AM Radio in Fresno California has really turned this story into something and has been interviewed on major news programs for their handling of the story. KMJ AM interviewed the head of Gibson Guitars on August 31 and Sept 1. KMJ ended up wit what should be the soundbite of the year that tells the truth about how our government is getting in the way of companies with selective enforcement of obscure laws, stopping production in the process. This is just a little more truth about our corporatist led inept government and it's policy toward American business that does not kiss political behind.

Anti Jobs Soundbite of the Year

KMJ AM is planning a big event called The KMJ Gibson Great American Guitar Jam and there is a Facebook page devoted to it.

They have devoted hours of programming on their station. Below are the podcasts, which are a great listen. The bottom two posts get into the facts of the case with interview of a Gibson executive. And the top two interviews are talking about The KMJ Gibson Great American Guitar Jam

Below are podcasts up until Sept 1. After that date, check http://www.kmjnow.com/pages/podcast for additional podcasts on this story.
