White House Correspondents' Dinner

As I read all the comments across the blogosphere regarding the event I did not watch, the White House Correspondents' Dinner, all I can think is this: I find it loathsome that we have a president doing high fives with talk show hosts and cracking smiles and jokes. When we are at wartime, even though the so called "War on Terror" that is actually a "War of Terror" upon other countries by the U.S. is supposedly wound down (it's not - this War of Terror in full swing), Presidents should not be joking around. Especially since our brave soldiers are being used as robots in far away lands, not to preserve our freedom and liberty here at home, but for the freedom and liberty narrow corporate interests in oil and mineral businesses, narco drug trafficking, and outsourced war services companies to become very very very rich. I am ashamed of our elected leaders, nearly every single one of them with very few exceptions. They are all bought and paid for by narrow special interests that don't mean jack to America or the world. And, as for our so called journalists in America who make it to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.... well, they are not journalists at all. Talking head bobble dolls is what most of them are, who read from teleprompters with input from members of the Neocon war machine, ramping up the rhetoric as if America, the benevolent savior of the world is going to save us from those nasty terrorists. Look in the mirror America! We (through these creepy politicians) are the purveyors of the terror. Those who resist our bomb dropping from unmanned drones and our military occupations in far away lands are not the terrorists like they have been painted to be. They are pissed off and willing to die to get us out of their lives. What would we do if the Chinese or the Mexican Army was occupying your town with tanks, dropping bombs, and raping & pillaging? Just ask Micheal Scheuer, former Head of CIA's Bin Laden Unit about this fact he has been trying to get America to think about: Foreign Military Occupation and the horrors that come with it is what breeds "suicide terrorism". If we Americans were being occupied, bet you my last dollar we'd all be resisting in a way that could be called suicide terror by the occupier.

Here is Michael Scheuer, former Head of CIA's Bin Laden Unit (aka Alec Station) in an exclusive interview Yosri Fouda, the only journalist who interviewed two key 9/11 masterminds, Khalid Shaikh Mohamed and Ramzi Binalshibh, prior to their capture. The clips below aired on the 9th anniversary of 9/11 in September of 2010, just so you can put the time frame in context. These videos aired Scheuer assesses the current state of world security and calls for a fundamental change in US foreign policy.

At the 8 minute 36 second point, Scheuer was asked "Where is he (bin Laden) now?" Scheuer speculated that Bin Laden, before his ultimate death, might be in the Bajaur Agency region of Pakistan, not far from Abbottabad, where Bin Laden was supposedly found and killed.
