The federal income tax was first enacted in 1862 to support the Union's Civil War effort. It was eliminated in 1872, revived in 1894, then declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court the following year.
In 1913, the same year the Federal Reserve was fraudulently put in place through a back room scam in Congress, the 16th Amendment to the Constitution made the income tax a permanent fixture in the U.S. tax system.
There was, however, always a corporate income tax that covered all federal expenditures. However, those in the back room turned that all around, creating layers of laws that exempt corporations from paying their fair share. Crony capitalism now reigns as a result.
Our republic was hijacked by people who a majority in Congress actually serve.... secret individuals behind the black curtain who most Americans will never ever hear of. Mitt Romney is their boy, as is Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary, both George Bush Sr.and Jr.
If we were to no longer take it anymore and strip the powers from the Federal Reserve and find this scam unconstitutional again, like it is, then both sides could get what they each want. Republicans could reduce taxes and Democrats could enact universal health care for those who cannot afford it, for the value of the dollar would begin to return and there would be no Federal Reserve to print money to fund wars we enter on a whim under false pretense. If wars could no longer be funded by The Fed through the dilution of the dollar which occurs when The Fed prints money backed by nothing, then the dollar would have a chance of surviving. It's only a matter of time before the dollar crashes like Argentina's currency once did. It's the largest Ponzi scheme the world has ever seen!
Ending the warfare/corporate welfare state is where the savings would come from to get everything people actually want. If it were not for The Fed, Congress would have to find other means of funding the wars, more transparent, and would have a hard time, for people don't want to waste money on the destruction and terror of war, only actual defense.
There is a case for ending The Fed, abolishing the federal income tax and ending the warfare/corporate welfare state. The left needs to stop focusing on taxing the rich and the right needs to stop focusing on the kind of gibberish those like Mitt Romney spews and get real. The only republican presidential candidate in recent elections who is a real one is Ron Paul. The best Democrats are those like Mike Gravel Dennis Kucinich. Most of he rest of the supposed top tier are a bunch of sell outs, but well hyped to the sheeple brainwashed by the mass media working for the men behind the black curtain.
